I thought of this piece while in that magical space between sleep and consciousness. It came to me and I chuckled a little then easily fell into sleep.

My intentions were to create something lighthearted, playful and whimsical as well as to pay tribute to the character of a personality i have admired and tried to salute many times with artworks that never quite came to successful completion. 

Due to the later news about our heroin's weight struggle, some have seen this piece as ridicule. I swear i didn't know but I do wish, being myself a great admirer, that she wins this battle and once again, comes out where she belongs, on top of the world. 

I wish you could see this in person. It's so imposing.

This piece, before it was even finished, became more than you see here. The making of the piece became artwork itself. Interacting with it broadened the limits of my process.  It was definitely a work of magic. I shall embellish in the following posts...
